The 4th of July and the Declaration of Independence

Today is Independence Day in the United States, the day we celebrate the birth of our nation on July 4, 1776.

One of the things I look forward to hearing on the 4^th of July is the reading of the Declaration of Independence by NPR staff. Every year, staff members of the news organization individually read a part of the whole document.
