First day of autumn

Photos from fall 2010.

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”
-George Eliot

Thanks to Elizabeth of In My Own for sharing this quote.

  2. Lovely pictures. In that first picture, is that a little tool shed or a house? Blessings.

  3. On the way back from the P.O. I got a few fall pictures myself. Our leaves haven't turned that much yet though.

  5. I've never heard of that quote before, but I LOVE it. Yes, yes, if I could follow all the successive autumns in the world, I sure would!

    1. Sunny, I had not heard it before, either, before Elizabeth shared it. It just seems so fitting with the way I'm feeling about fall!

  6. The purple and gold leaves next to each other are so pretty. I am amazed at the splendid colors..nature itself is creative art.
Good job capturing some pretty photo's.

    1. Thanks, Krystal Lynn. I like how you called nature "creative art." It really is--the most creative of arts, I think.

    1. Jodi, It's my favorite time, too. I look at all the different trees and can't decide which is most beautiful--they all are!

  9. I am not a fan of fall, especially the beginning of the season, I tend to not adjust well and can get a bit depressed. I do however love and appreciate the changes of color on the leaves and how the trees and mountains look during the change of season. These are lovely photos thank you so much for sharing them. :)

    1. Madison, For some odd reason, I get more depressed in the spring than in the fall when the days start getting shorter. I hope you feel better and that you enjoy the colors of fall!
